Wool DYB RR

A new DYB is ready to start on CQI Group and this is my set of blocks! I am in love with wool expecially during this very cold period!

We had flu in different waves since two weeks now!

I am also excited for a new project I want to do on December 08 there will be a Christmas Market in my town and a friend of mine ask me to take part to it...so... I am busy to sew and think, think and sew because time is short!

Nancy's Black and White DYB

This is Nancy's Black and White DYB she did three "white" blocks and three "black"for her set and I picked it and here is the final result! Hope she likes it!

Time for Birthdays.......

Is Birthday time in October for us so here is Siria's....

....and Valentina's for her we took a little pizza party with all her friends!

BLOGGER QUILT FESTIVAL - FALL 2009

Amy at Park City Girl is having a Blogger Quilt Festival on line for this Fall and this is the quilt I want to share!

I made it following the Basket Crazies pattern from The Buggy Barn using Holly Taylor fabrics if I remember well!

I bought pattern and fabrics during a beautiful vacation in the Northeast of USA in 2002. The quilt shop was in Rangeley (Maine) and there was a very big cat that I am impressed every time I think to our great vacation!

Many things happened here that kept me away from blogging and crazy quilting in general....my Dad passed away on September 27 after hard month at the Hospital.

So no time or desire to do something in relax.

I am starting now with a few little projects but I will post a pic in the near future!

Tins...from Diane

Diane was my partner in the Tin Swap in the CQI Group and she done a super job because she covered a tin for me and then a tin for Valentina and then a tin for Siria....that was a very beautiful and special big surprise that this great Lady made for us!

Here are the tins for the girls back and front....and inside...tomorrow I show you!

Here is my tin back and front with some gift she put inside but inside....I show you tomorrow!

She studied everything in all the details and...tomorrow I will tell you why!

After two weeks...some stitching

Back from a little vacation with the girs on the mountains I can post som stitching I done on Karrin's Landscape block and Wendy B&W block.

I had the first week with a lot of rain and flu so I could do some cq and some new things for a next project I have in mind....but about this I will tell you when I will be ready!

Janet's Spider 2 block

This is Janet's block...I wanted to try to work with ribbon so I did some roses with velvet leaves an vine with silk ribbon and then a silver web with spider! Hope she likes it!

Tin swap for....

This is my Tin for....I can't say the new owner of it but I will when I am sure she will receive it!

Lyn's Landscape Block

Here is Lyn's Landscape block with my addition. I was intimidated from her block but finally the bottom land inspired to me. Hope she likes it!

Purse Contest 2009

This is my entry for the Purse Contest in the CQI Group now that the contest is over I can say something...

The contest was full of talented Ladies that with beautiful purses took part in two categories one was crazy quilting and the other was other kind of purses we voted and discover the winners: Kim, Cathy and Dakotah for cq then Lyn and Karrin for other kind.

I am very happy with this contest was a lot of fun from the start to the end!

Ann's Spiders and Webs RR ready

Ann's block ready! Her colors remind me to blackberry bush then  I thought to stitch in the middle some webs she put on her booklet as motif.

Hope she likes it!

Laura's ATG DYB and new B&W DYB

Laura's ATG DYB she chose to do a little quilt for Project Linus with the final result and so I thought to do a redwork designs on one of her blocks from "Favorite redwork designs" by Betty 

Alderman and two traditional seams.

This is the Black and White DYB in the CQI Group. I added a red as I always wanted something 

like that and I asked for an all red thread only on the seams for this project!

Cobi's Landscape

This is Cobi' block for a Landscape RR in CQI Group and this is my addition on it! Hope she likes it!

This is one of Rita's blocks! Her theme is Oriental so I thought to same fans, ikebana, lanters and butterflies...hope she likes it!

This is my work on Cobi's block I thought to a Spring blossom flowers and its webs a piece of garden scene...hope she like it!

Bloggers Quilt Festival

Park City Girl  is hosting the Bloggers Quilt Festival and I think that is a beautiful thing! 

I choose to show this quilt I made during an on line Quilt Class. The fabrics are all cotton the background is deep brown and the quilting is by machine.

The class was very good and I loved the method used in the same time I made a second quilt with different colors to see the differences in dark and light background.
